See what your local brewmasters are crafting with these South Bend breweries.

One of the best things about living in South Bend is our local community: cafes, restaurants, and yes, breweries too! Are you looking for a great local brewery to meet up at with friends, or are you interested in sampling local lagers and ales? Check out these local breweries, recommended by our real estate agents.

  • Studebaker Brewing Co. - 620 W Washington Street
Located on the third floor of the Studebaker mansion, built by the founders of the Studebaker car manufacturing company, the Studebaker Brewing Co. brings together community and history with a love of good beer. The brewery and bar is two floors up from Tippecanoe Place Restaurant, South Bend's best-known fine dining restaurant. Enjoy a wide variety of locally-brewed beers with whimsical names and unique flavors, such as Whoopsie Wheat, Rocknecalypse, and Late To The Game.

  • South Bend Brew Werks - 321 S Main Street
If you really want to support the South Bend community, check out South Bend Brew Werks, a family-owned and operated brewpub. This awesome local spot offers 16 taps with rotating beers. Are you in the mood for something traditional or something a little more unique? While all of their beers are brewed there, some of them are more like what you'd expect to find at the average pub, while others are small-batch experimental beers with more unusual flavors. Either way, you're leaning today, they have a satisfying pub food menu, so you can pair your beer with a grilled cheese or flatbread pizza and make a meal of it.

  • Crooked Ewe - 1047 E Lincolnway E
Crooked Ewe is a brewery and ale house serving a wide variety of large and small-batch beers and other drinks, plus a full menu of food. Choose from ales and IPAs, lagers and stouts, as well as a selection of wines and ciders. Their art doesn't end with their drinks, either: Crooked Ewe offers a full food full of delicious flavors and inspired combinations to pair with your drinks. They also serve weekend brunch Saturdays and Sundays from noon until 3 pm.

  • Danny Boy Draft Works - 54721 Burdette Street
Danny Boy Draft Works is a sports pub and brewery located near the Notre Dame campus and many South Bend homes for sale. While they do have a few popular beers on their 16 taps, the majority are reserved for small-batch selections they brew themselves. Try their Double Tap Scotch Ale, Rock 'N' Rolla IPA, and Sweet Irish Milk Stout, among others. You'll also find a selection of traditional sports pub fare, such as pizza, pretzels, fish and fries, and chicken tenders.

  • Corby's Irish Pub - 441 East LaSalle Avenue
Corby's isn't a brewery itself, but they offer a rotating selection of many locally brewed craft beers, plus a menu that includes pizza and other typical sports bar food. This South Bend pub became a famous local landmark after the bar scenes from the movie Rudy were filmed here. Located close to Notre Dame, this traditional Irish pub and sports bar is a favorite haunt for many students and South Bend residents.

Whether you're looking for a pleasant way to spend a weekend or evening or want to catch a game, South Bend has plenty of local pubs and breweries where you can find amazing local craft beers.
